implementing the designed solutions.
- Budgeted and executed a multi-million dollar account
supporting the organization's computer infrastructure.
1993-1996: Head, Information Systems
Management Branch
- Managed the enterprise network for a technology intensive
organization of 3,500 employees.
- Procured all Information Technology products and services
for the enterprise.
- Conducted research and development to improve business
processes and to allow business other departments to improve their
processes through automation
- Designed and installed an FDDI WAN Backbone for the
enterprise.
- Procured and installed an enterprise backup system.
- Primary professor for two undergraduate, upper level core
courses
- Lead Marine Option Midshipmen in field exercises and other
training
- Taught Computer Programming in Pascal.
- Lead graduate seminar on Network Security
- Participated in numerous computer science research groups.

Summary:
Twenty years service as a United States Marine. Career is
characterized by a balance of leadership experience and technology application.
Broad training background extends from one-on-one instruction in general
military subjects, to teaching programmers on the job, to guiding officer
candidates through leadership training, to teaching advanced research seminars
in a university environment. Engineering experience spans planning and
implementation of IBM mainframe systems, application development in database systems,
transition to microcomputers, Local Area Network design, and high speed Wide
Area Network design and implementation.

as a 2ndLt, via the Platoon Leader's Class program. Assigned to The Basic
School in Quantico, Virginia. Graduated second in a class of two hundred and
fifteen.

Apr 80: Assigned as Programming
Officer, 5th Force Automated Services Center, Detachment A, Second Force
Service Support Group.
Jul 83: Transferred to the Information Systems Management Officer (ISMO) staff,
3d Force Service Support Group, Okinawa Japan. Deployed to Korea for Exercise
Bear Hunt 84 and was promoted to Captain.

Officer Instructor, Naval Reserve Officer's Training Course, University of
Virginia and was promoted to Major.
